The Berwick Technical Education Centre (TEC) is a unique learning environment, purpose designed for young adults under 20 who have not yet completed Year 12 or equivalent and who want to gain a qualification that will lead them to a job or further study … faster.

Studying at the TEC is a clever choice

When you study at Berwick TEC you can fast track your career by obtaining your Year 11 or Year 12 VCAL and gain an entry level industry qualification. Or, if you're unsure of where you're heading, try our VCAL Trades and Health or Community careers courses.

This means you obtain your qualification quicker and open up opportunities to secure the job or apprenticeship you want, or move straight into further study with VIP priority entry into Chisholm.

Do industry specific, full certificate courses
– with or without VCAL

You've got the choice to complete a full industry specific pre-apprenticeship, or pre-vocational course, or an industry ready certificate such as Children's Services as part of a VCAL.

Plus, if you want, you can move straight into a full time, stand alone pre-apprenticeship, pre-vocational or apprenticeship course without VCAL.

Hands on, project based learning

There's a strong emphasis on learning and doing – many skills are developed on live projects.

And it's not just job skills you learn, we offer much more than that. There's an integrated approach because we focus on personal and life skills as well.
